Privacy Policy

The short version

Novena Tracker is a fully offline app. It does not connect to any server, does not create user accounts, and does not transmit any information off your device. The app stores a small amount of data locally on your device only, and that data stays there.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following data locally using your device’s own storage. None of it is ever transmitted to us or to any third party.

• The name and length of your current novena
• Which days of the novena you have marked as prayed
• Reminder settings, including times and any reminder text you write
• Your history of completed novenas
• Notification scheduling identifiers managed by your OS

This data is not backed up to any cloud service by the app itself. Your device’s own system backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android) may include app data as part of a full device backup — that is governed by Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies, not ours.

The web version

If you use Novena Tracker in your browser at walkingwithmary.com/novena-tracker/app, the same data is kept in your browser’s local storage on that device. It is not sent to our web server, and clearing your browser’s site data removes it. The website itself is served through GitHub Pages and Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) under their own privacy policies.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data of any kind.
• We do not serve ads or use any advertising networks.
• We do not create or store user accounts.
• We do not use crash-reporting SDKs that phone home.
• We do not share any data with third parties — because we collect none.
• We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app schedules the novena reminders you set up. These arelocal notifications — they are generated and delivered entirely on your device by the operating system and are never routed through any external server or push-notification service.

No push token, device identifier, or notification content is transmitted to us or to any third party as part of the notification feature.

Network access

The mobile app makes no network requests at runtime. Everything it needs is bundled inside the app and available fully offline from first launch.

Open-source software

The app is built with open-source frameworks including Expo and React Native. These frameworks do not collect personal data as used here.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Deleting your data

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app (or, on the web, by clearing this site’s data in your browser). There is no account to close and no server-side data to request deletion of.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the “last updated” date at the top will change. We will not retroactively collect data without notice.
